Work Things
In Economics, we are taught about
the impossible trinity: independent monetary policy, inflation and exchange
rate. Only two are possible at any one given time.
Working in a fully funded NGO
that doesn’t have any income source is a little like that – to maximize your
outreach to a greater number of people you need a good staff strength which
means that your operating costs run high. With these costs running high, the
money you spend on actual treatments decrease which makes your staff relatively
freer and thus the whole point of having more staff is defeated.
Somebody had once said throwing
money is the easy solution, sustaining people is the answer. That is probably
what I would be working towards in an ideal scenario.
